늘 가고싶지만 자주 찾지 않게 되는 광화문 스폰지 하우스에서 보았다.

I'm not there.


기회를 놓쳤다고 생각했는데,
이렇게 기다려주는 곳이 있어서 행복했다.


영화 전반적으로 뭔가를 "따지며" 볼 수 있는 영화는 아녔다.
걍 음악을 띵까띵까 듣다보니까 영화가 끝났다.
참 짧은 135분 이었다.


신기한 것은,
톧 헤인즈 감독의 영화들이 나에게 주었던 느낌처럼
이것도 역시 꼭 마치
영화 전반에 깔리는 음악들도 음악들이지만,
영화 한편이 꼭 한곡의 노래같다.

왜 노래가사를 볼 때,
엄청 맘에 와닿는 구석이 있긴 하지만
처음부터 끝까지 이야기가 연결된다는 기분을 받지 않고,
클라이막스가 나오기전의 먼말인지 아리송한 부분을 지나
어느 한 구석에서 숨이 턱 막혀오듯이
(밥 딜런의 노래는 굉장히 스토리텔링틱하긴 하지만)


영화 자체가 굉장히
머랄까, 많은 스타일을 사용하여 찍었고,
그것들이 뒤섞여 편집되어서
하고자 하는 이야기도 지루하게 첨부터 끝까지 읊기보다는
마치 시처럼
그래, 시인의 삶과 노래가 모티브가 되었으니까
시처럼
만들어졌다는 기분이 들었다.


내가 언젠가 교양이 쌓이면
구구절절 감동받게될 날이 오겠지
하지만 뭐

뭐가 뭔지 모르는 상태에서
갑자기 감동적인 부분을 만났을 때의 반가움도
나름대로 좋다. ㅎㅎㅎ
참을만 한 것이다.
